The Devotional - 53

The Devotional

Comment:
Majesty, unbeknown to most of us who lift up a voice of praise to God is the truth that we are actually worshipping MAJESTY. We say that we know that God is Majestic, yet I say most of us only know the word and not The God who is the Great I AM. My heart is sad in that in being saved as it is, falls short of understanding the presence and vital need of God for Creation to exist. Under the curse Creation (mankind) stands on the precipice of falling into the abyss, yet the LORD God by His Grace has secured us by His Power and Majesty in order that we might see and believe the Grace of God. As I have said before “all of Creation knows this Truth, but mankind has choose to reject it. Isaiah 55:12 and Romans 8:18-27 explains that Creation and those of us who are saved groan for His Majesty to come, but even in this without the HELP of the Holy Spirit we the saved children of God fall short in our human weaknesses to fully understand.

Challenge: Job 40
As the LORD opens the door for Job to speak the LORD says; “Job, will you continue to contend with Me to correct Me? Go ahead Job answer Me! The Job replied “I am unworthy – how can I reply to You? Yes I may have something to say, but I need to place my hand over my mouth and keep the words inside. I spoke once LORD, there was no answer, I spoke again, but now I am silent since I am facing MAJESTY. This is important since many of us rattle on to God even when He intends to answer, our mouth will seek to override His grace.

Even here we see that Job intends to be silent but is not capable of total silence so the LORD God gets Job’s attention by confronting Job with a “whirlwind” IN YOU FACE JOB, listen to Me, brace yourself like a man; I will question you and you will answer Me.” O if we would only understand that we do not have the answers, we only have questions and that most of these miss the mark. Mostly we do the very thing we see here with the conversation of God and Job.

“WOULD YOU DISCREDIT MY JUSTICE? WOULD YOU CONDEMN ME TO JUSTIFY YOURSELF JOB?” We could put our name there, could we not since we have done this so many times in the past. We are always left speechless when God questions our motives. “Job, do you have an arm like Me, can your voice thunder like Mine, can you put on a Majestic Robe of Honor”. The answer is of course is that Job can do none of these things in the majestic power of God and neither can you and I.

I will need to stop here this morning, but these thoughts are important for each and every one of us. God is not angry with Job, nor is He angry with you or me. He is however angry with Satan who has placed a stumbling block between God’s Creation and God called the CURSE, Genesis 3. In many ways the events of Job life describe the events of the Spiritual battle going on all around us. The counterfeit kingdom fighting to overcome the KINGDOM of Our God and Creator will not have victory! Man needs only to brace himself like a man and believe God – Faith is the VICTORY that overcomes the counterfeit world we live in.

We will look again into this wonderful book on Tuesday May 26 as our church will be having a conference over the Memorial Day Weekend and I will be looking into the Word and Majesty of the LORD,
