The Devotional - 1044 - Foot Steps in Frist Crinthians, ongoing.

The Devotional – 1044 – Foot steps in First Corinthians, ongoing
Most Monday’s for me are like a brand new beginning with the LORD and the giving of THANKS is usually a major player in getting that newness to the front lines of living and facing a cruel and unfriendly world. Here is a simple verse of scripture in Philippians 4, but it reads powerfully when you place the context of Philippians 4 around these words. “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me”. We can rejoice in the truth that God meets all of our needs, He gives us contentment when we prosper and even when we are in need. Verse 13 confirms this truth to us that it is “Christ in us” who makes this possible. This simply but powerfully reveals that without Christ the world around us is often a bitter place and to leave this world without Him is a bitter place. But in Him we have the peace that passes all understanding; Philippians 4:6-7.

CHALLENGES & COMMENTS – 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
In the study of the Holy Word of God this is what I find… I know nothing as I ought! The Word of God is like a mountain of gold and silver. Not ONE command is less than RICH in His Mercy and not ONE precept fails to ENRICH your soul with the goodness of His Grace. Sadly, many do not believe this and if I can confidently stay that “I know nothing as I ought” what is it then that they know?

Folks who do not believe in God are as the apostle Paul describes them. They are Jews who have the law and Jews who do not have the law. They are non-Jewish who have the law and non-Jewish who do not have the law. Most all people have some foundational knowledge of the law of God and the law of Christ; this points them to the Creator (Psalm 19 for example), but their will too purposely suppress this truth (Romans 1:32) is strong to live independently of God in their self-righteousness.

There are also the “weak” whether weak in the law of God and Christ or weak in the dictates of the world around them. So self-righteousness are the factors of strengths and weakness that separate those with the law and those without the law and those that are weak in some way, from the law of grace and truth.

The law! Do you mean there is a law that protects the message of the gospel? YES, praise the LORD there is a law. The Law of God came to the Jew through the ministry of Moses, while the Law of Grace and Truth came through the ministry of God’s only begotten Son and that Law came to the Jew first as did the Law of God and then to you and me – John 1:14-18.

So as the apostle Paul says; he has become “all things” to all people that he may by all means; save some. This should be the ONLY reason for being involved in feeding the hungry, ministering to the sick, rescuing those in distress or using whatever means available to us to reach those who are lost to this counterfeit system of worldliness. Psalm 19:7 says that the law of the LORD (Jehovah/Jesus) is PERFECT, able to convert the soul.

The soul without Christ is IMPERFECT and needs RESTORATION, it is without the GRACE and TRUTH of Jesus and there is no FAITH, and no ASSURANCE of eternity in the heart. So today you may have the opportunity to be all things to all people, therefore be ready to give the answer that provides PEACE in a troubled SOUL, Ecclesiastes 3:9-15 whatever God does, it is done forever. If the soul leaves this world without Christ… it is FOREVER LOST. If the soul response to the message Grace and Truth, it leaves this world with Christ and FOREVER SAVED.
