A Daily Devotional – Psalm 119:73-80 – Personal Meditation (10)

A Daily Devotional – Psalm 119:73-80 – Personal Meditation

Comment: When we meditate with the LORD, we are often reminded by the Holy Spirit that life; that is physical life is the created results of One God. How foolish it is for people to believe in evolution or many gods for creation. Many gods might never agree the color of one’s hair, thus you might look and act as those today who are darkness about their own identity. When we meditate on the true and living God in the way He has provided, we will be invited by Him to enjoy the abundant life that He intended for us. “Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked (man of iniquity) forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon – Isaiah 55:6-7 – I recommend the entire chapter of Isaiah 55, what a joy to start one’s day.

Devotional: It is comforting when we acknowledge the Hands who fashioned us. Mostly we link this thought to our initial created moment in time when we were born. There is nothing wrong with this since it is true. “So, God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him, male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it…” an excerpt of Genesis 1:27-28.

Yet I believe the psalmist in this section of Psalm 119 is referring to the molding and shaping of every born-again child of God, who looks to God according to His abundant mercy; in that God, through the resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ/Messiah, has begotten (born) us again to a living hope; see 1 Peter 1:3-12. Our joy of this hope is seen, it is seen by those brothers and sisters in the LORD who are like-minded, and observed by the world of those who live in darkness around us.

God’s ongoing molding and shaping of us individually allow us to see that all of God’s judgments are righteous. His molding and shaping prove His ongoing faithfulness to us, encouraging us to call out to Him for more merciful kindness, more comfort from Him. We do this because we are well aware the His tender mercy that keeps us alive. His laws of daily molding and shaping become our daily delight, that is we look forward to His guiding us through every day, thus we are not ashamed to be called a child of God.

The world around us will treat us wrongly, we can count on this to be true. Remember, the world apart from the love of God, lives in darkness; see John 1:1-5 and does not comprehend the light of the gospel of God. Therefore, God has provided comfort from the testimonies of His saints (children) of the past; who through trial and adversity placed their cares, problems and future in the Hands of the One and only God. A blameless heart will regard the statutes of God and will never be ashamed.
