A Daily Devotional – Psalm 119:89-96 – Personal Meditation
Comment: The writer of Psalm 119 states
clearly that he has seen the consummation of all perfection; in other words,
and in some bible translations, “all things have limits”. God controls the
limits of “all things” His Command to control is exceedingly broader, meaning
that; nothing created (all things) have the power or ability to overstep God’s
law or command. Such power is overwhelming to the heart of man and yet the fool allows
his or her heart to say that, there is no God. These thoughts of the godless human
heart are limited, since evil can only go so far. This too then, is within the
limitless power of God over His created beings, humans and angels alike; see
Psalm 14:1-7.
Devotional: Creation!
What a comforting Truth, before the foundations of the earth were laid, God Created
the heavens and earth. In limitless Power, ongoingly He creates all creatures
of the land, sea and air. He has and continues to create all human beings that the
earth will ever contained. He will continue to do so until all has reached HIS
LIMITS and nothing or no one will be able to overstep the finality of His
Command.
The established earth and all that it contains endures
existence because all things ‘serve God’. Now for me personally, I am full of
sadness of heart and this is because, most humans have rejected service to God
and serve the creature, rather than the Creator, Romans 1:25. Now there is more
to this than I wish to get into this morning, but God will judge the living and
the dead, as He also has power over physical life and death. God has the
victory and the final word over all things created.
But greater still; that since the power of God is eternal,
that is; “forever lasting” God can and does provide for you and me to abide
with Him eternally, He calls us out of our limited natural state of existence,
He is not willing that anyone should perish. Remember! Initially we were
created in His image and likeness and in rebellion we were not obedient to God’s
promise of; “Let us make man in our image and in our likeness”. Question: Is
not God’s image and likeness eternal?
Living eternally as God does is possible for all who
will believe this Good News, the Gospel. John 10:7-18; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and
50-58. God loves His created world, but greater still is that He loves you and
me. He has provided salvation upon all who will answer His call. All
have sinned and all have fallen short of the Glory of God, by the way; “in
part; what is the Glory of God?” His Image and His Likeness is Eternally Glorious
and He offers us to receive Him through His Son, Jesus who is sacrifice for our
sin and the risen Savior who is raised from the dead for our glory, see Hebrews
2:10-15.
