The Devotional – 1442 – Are you a Lobster?

The Devotional – 1442 – Are you a Lobster?

Proverbs 31:8-9 – Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed (passing away) to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and the needy.

Comments and challenges

Waiting for my turn to enter the simulated smoke filled room, I was told to put on the white cover. The cover was to keep me from seeing the obstacles and obstructions inside the room. All of us were training to become firefighters. For us there was little danger the simulated smoke would not affect us in anyway there was no heat from a fire and this was our first encounter with the use of the fireman’s air pack called the SCPA.

Months later; at the end of our training the final test was to go into a building where fire was present. This too was simulated and controlled, but it was hot and the simulator was capable of doing what fires do best… scare you! Fire roll overs are intimidating in that the fire reaches the ceiling and rolls across to the other side, then down that wall and then travels up behind you and if you are not careful you of this you will know how the lobster feels just before it turns red.

The enemy is the fire and according to Proverbs 30:16 the words says this, we will need to back up to verse 15 – The leech has two daughters crying. “Give! Give!” there is three things that are never satisfied, four things that never say enough. The grave, the barren womb, the earth that is not satisfied with water, and the fire that never says, “It is enough”!

Without going into great detail, Agur is saying, there is no life in the grave, the barren womb, a parched land or a consuming fire. But then! One does not need to be a “rocket scientist” to see the effects of a world where life is consumed and we are surrounded by the graves of those babies whose parents were CARE LESS. By adults who have DISOBEYED their parents and are filled with all sorts of sexual immorality. Romans 1:29.

Our land is parched with the lack of water in some areas and overfilled with water in other areas. Some would say that this is just the ecosystem is out of balance, these people ignore God who is a consuming fire and say things like: “where is the promise of His coming?” 2 Peter 3:4. My thought is… “You blind fool” God is at your back and ready to turn you into a “Lobster”!

Many of us reject that the “Laws of Creation” belong SOLEY to God; Proverbs 8 and it is He who controls the beginning and the end. He has done this from the very beginning of time, why because He is God and knows the ending of time. We know that God has developed the Laws of Living Life, but we volitionally disobey these laws. We create programs, plans and policies that do not WORK and instead of returning to God, we add to our misery by our ever increasing ignorance. “His counsel will stand and He will do all He has promised to do: Okay enough said. On your own please read; Isaiah 46:8-12.
