The Devotional – 1457 – The Second and third question

The Devotional – 1457 – The Second and third question
Proverbs 7:1-4 – My son keep my words and treasure my commands with you. Keep my commands and live and my law as the apple of your eye. Bund them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, you are my sister and call understanding your nearest kin.

Comments and challenges
We have poured over the Words of God for centuries and yet it remains as true today as it did when the apostle John wrote in his gospel these wonderful words. John 20:30-31 – And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that YOU MAY BELIEVE that Jesus is the CHRIST and that BELIEVING you may have life in His Name. Jesus is the ONLY one who can “turn on the LIGHT of Glory! Acts 4:10-12.
God does question Adam extensively and this is not to say that God did not know what Adam and Eve had done as “one” in the flesh. He knew better than they did that the sinful act agreed to by them would change the life of the earth and of all flesh forever. God’s questions were to make Adam understand the power that sin would have over the Glory of God’s Creation, that being that what God has made Holy, man has made unholy. Man is responsible for his personal sin, not Satan.
Adam’s answer to question #1 – Genesis 3:10 – So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself. Question #2 – Genesis 3:11 – And God said, “who told you that you were naked? Question #3 – Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” Personal questions to Adam who is the head of his human household, God is demanding a personal response.
In the deceptive conversation that Satan had with Eve, he caused Eve to look to herself, to take her eyes off of God and her husband. Independently she chose to do what she knew was wrong. She may not have understood the words of her husband about the eating of the fruit of the tree, but she understood enough in that looking beyond what she knew she could see the enticement as gain. Genesis 3:1-5. This “looking beyond the TRUTH” is the deception or deceptive work of Satan that leads all mankind to personally sin against God.
It was not until Adam ate of the fruit that was good for food, pleasant to the eyes and to make one wise that the desire of personal sin caused the “light of holiness too flicker and go out” personal sin, no matter what you or I may think of it – puts out the LIGHT of eternal life and causes death.
Romans 3:23 states clearly that “all have sinned”, by the way this includes YOU AND ME. Thus like ALL we fall short of the Glory of God. Accountability to God for our sin is real and for anyone to reject this truth is to reject Life and chose death.
Of course I am not finished with this, but more to come. Have a Godly day, if God is not in your day, it is like a day without hope, thus it would be very depressing.
