A Daily Devotional – Faith – Personal Meditation (1)

A Daily Devotional – Faith – Personal Meditation

Comment: Personal faith is an attribute of every human intellect, without it we would have a very hard time developing in daily life. Yes, there are some folks who are mentally unaware of the ability to process faith, most of these are born in this condition. Others have injuries preventing them to process faith and we excuse these folks of the responsibility of exercising personal faith. These are not held responsible by man or God for personal faith. What am I eluding to? Personal faith is one of the most important attributes of the human character and behavior. Faith is involved in our ability to LOVE, to TRUST, to LEARN, to LIVE and like trust, to BELIEVE. Without personal faith, it is impossible to please the one who loves you, or the one who lives next door, or the one we work with, or any other faith factor of living that requires an expression of personal faith.

Devotional: The Holy Bible reveals this personal faith, which can be directed toward God with words like ‘trust in’, believe in’ or even ‘casting your care in’ the direction of God’s Plan and His to you Word. John’s Gospel and his epistles are filled with challenges for each reader to exercise their personal faith, personal trust, or personal belief in God alone. God does not need help from man made theologies, philosophies or any generated isms products or promises from man.

One way for us to realize this truth is through the study and applied obedience obtained by “guess what!’ Personal faith in God. Fact is; it the ONLY WAY. Well, you may be thinking, “How do I do this?” In the book of Proverbs which could be sub-titled “Skill in Living” we see these words in Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Trusting God is to set aside personal pride which is SIN and with personal faith acknowledge Him. Let God direct your path rather than you directing your own ways which lead us like a ship in a storm without a proper helmsman. The epistle of James has much to say about personal faith. Reading this epistle ought to be a daily meditation; James is a short book of 108 verses or 2,381 words in the (NKJV).
