The Devotional - R038

Comment:

In a business environment, businesses normally consists of two departments; one is administration and the other is production. Within these two, there can be several sub-departments like payroll and hiring in the admin department and assembly and packaging in the production department. All of these are responsible each other and the heads of the sub-departments are responsible to the two primary departments and finally the two major departments are responsible to the corporate executive staff. Good authority structure means good business practice enforcing economical results just as a poor authority structure will produce just the opposite. We should as a nation understand this and we do; so why then is our nation’s administrative and productive structure falling into the abyss? America has never been a God chosen nation, yet there are many resemblances of our once blessed prosperity and freedom like that of Israel’s past. The major point! Israel will rise again, Israel will rule the world under the LORDSHIP of Jesus Christ/Messiah who is KING of kings and LORD of lords – Revelation 19:11-16.

Challenge: Romans 11:1-10

So the apostle, in Romans 9 – 11; is he talking to us about politics, world dominance and civil rule? No, not at all! The apostle is discussing something much more important. He is describing the Gospel of God and the two economies or administrations (covenants) that this world has witnessed over the last 3600 to 4000 years. The apostle is describing the failure of the Old Covenant practices of Israel and the potential failure of the New Covenant practices of the church to the readers of the epistle to the Romans.

For Israel a partial reference to the above, please look at the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, Matthew 23:37-39 and Luke 13:34-35; Romans 11:26-29; Isaiah 59:20-21. So the Israel today is still the Chosen Israel of yesterday. Israel has been given a spirit of “deep sleep” like a coma, Romans 11:8. For the rest of the world, including our beloved homeland, the LORD God is preparing a banquet for all of the flesh eating birds of the air – Revelation 19:11-21, like it or not we will be food in that feast.

The apostle has something far greater on his mind that kingdoms and their political ambitions. Paul is interested in the administration of God’s New Covenant to the Church of Jesus Christ. Paul’s heart desires to see his countrymen saved, so he strives to reveal to the Jew that their being a temporary cast away is now God’s Will to reconcile the world to the Glory of God through the established church; through Jesus Christ, God’s Son. Any Israelite seeing a gentile come to faith in Christ is or would be like provoking the Israel to jealousy and thus save them. Like; “you gentile have what I want!”

Now we do not have time to go into all the biblical evidence of this and I am not asking you to just take this by faith. But SEARCH THE SCRIPTURE, God knowing that the first Covenant; (the Law) was weak in the flesh of man so God sent His Son Jesus to fulfil the Righteous requirements of the Law. Jesus, through His Death and Resurrection opened the door to the New Covenant through the shedding of His Blood. Romans 8:1-5. Now why is that? Because SIN is in the world, someone will say! SIN?  Yes sin is powerful enough to seek and destroy everyone who seeks to live within the Righteous Requirements of God's holiness in that even the Church of the New Covenant suffers damage.

We don’t sin anymore do we? It seems to me that everyone is simply doing whatever seems right in their own righteous way of living! SIN that is OLD SCHOOL! No it is not old school, the Holy Bible is the only source of Truth that mankind can rely on. That is the point! More tomorrow.
