Comment: Sometimes
I will hear a preacher or teacher from the radio or television speaking. Intended
or not intended they will say things like “trust me…” or “believe me when I say…”.
They remind me of salesman who want you to buy their wares even when they know
that what they are selling is faulty. We ought not listen to faulty gospels!
Since we are able to read the faulty salesman so easily; why then is it so
difficult to turn away from false teachers and preachers? Could it be that we
are failing to recognize the preeminence of Christ in us, and therefore we are
not fully reconciled to Him! Christ is preeminent, we should not leave that
door open, we should be fully reconciled to Him.
Devotional: Colossians 1:19-23 – It pleases the Father
that all of the fulness of time and eternity should dwell in Christ, thus all
things do. Even we are reconciled to God through Christ, in other words; one
who does not have Christ as Savior, is not reconciled and He (God) will not
hear them.
We tend to lose sight of this powerful
impact on the world, we often need a reminder; that through the ‘blood’ of His
suffering and death on the cross, Christ is LORD both of HEAVEN and EARTH. We
were in unbelief of this truth and enemies of this PEACE. Our mind was consumed
with wickedness, full of darkness and death. Therefore, there is no way humanly to
understand apart from faith in the revelation of God, that Christ Jesus/Messiah is LORD
OF ALL!
When we believe in the
physical death of His body for all sins, we are immediately reconciled back to God the
Father. This faith presents us holy and blameless, we are ABOVE reproach in HIS
sight. How wonderful is that? Have you ever completed a project and felt good
about it being flawless? No doubt; every work you have ever done carries in it
some flaw that you vividly remember. Yet and by faith we are assured through
the power of the Holy Spirit that the blood of the cross is purely and
completely holy, this flawless event by God in time and eternity is TRUE, in will remain forever True and in this we are not easily moved away from, for we trust God and not man, as this is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe.
