The Devotional – 1070 – Foot Steps in First Corinthians, On Going

One of the best LIES of life is found in two WORDS. The lie is like a worldwide disease and it covers every continent. People spend billions of dollars every year to cause their children to believe the lie and if anyone sought to confront and protect from the worldwide lie, he or she would no doubt be branded a hypocrite or overly pious. This lie keeps the false economy afloat each year. Extremely large corporations that produce nothing but fun and games depend on the LIE. By now you have guessed what the lie is and the words. Every child that can understand knows the words and most every mom and dad tell the lie. Additionally the corrupt news media in lands across the world say that “SANTA CLAUS” is on his way to bring the good things in life. This truly is the BIG LIE. The spirit of this season is is nothing more than the lie. The Truth of Christmas is the Birth, Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus.

CHALLENGES & COMMENTS – 1 Corinthians 15:12-19

Do you not find it ODD that the world also discredits the “RESURRECTION” of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is preached in all the major cities and towns in the world around us. I understand that there are nearly 2,000 people groups in the world who have not heard the gospel and this adds up to millions of people, but the majority of the world around you and me has heard the name that is above all names; Philippians 2:5-11 and they have heard the lie too.

God plainly is the only one exalting the death and resurrection of His Son for the Sin of the world. Yes He has His teachers and preachers, God also has His witnesses to this truth, yet the message is not “popular” and many who love God fail to take a stand. So lies like the lie of Santa Claus discredit the humble message of TRUTH early in the life of children. Santa Claus is the defective nonsense of a duped or deceived mind, which is by the way the definition of the word “HUMBUG”.

1 Corinthians 15:20 – But now Christ is RISEN from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep (died). For since by man came death, by MAN also came the resurrection from the dead. Yet the world is willing to reject this truth and say that the church of Jesus Christ is a lie. That we the saints of God are the humbug of the world; dupers and deceivers. To this thought I say “BAH” the definition of this “Bah” is “contempt or scorn”! Thus I scorn and show contempt for rejection of Truth by the world.

Therefore, the Death of Christ is not only the hope and assurance of forgiveness for every Believing person, we also have the same hope and assurance of His Resurrection. We know that the death of Jesus Christ and the physical resurrection of His body is of the TRUTH, not because the Holy Bible says so, but because the Spirit of God provides us with the grace to know the truth which sets us free from the law of sin and death.

One last note here; if you believe the lie of the world you may have a happy season once a year and go to great lengths to see your loved ones being happy as well. Yet “Happy moments” are like “Happy feet” and fatigue sets in, emotions of a happy moment or foot will turn sour and assurance of a good tomorrow will vanish. What will you do now?

God’s plan of salvation is far more lasting, it is not temporal but eternal… why is that? It is simple really, because there is a Resurrection of the dead, Christ the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
