The Devotional - 63

The Devotional

Comment:
The book of Lamentations is not difficult to understand and I believe that it is becoming a very real possibility for the people of the United States of America to experience this same warning of grief in the near future. Our young people are seasoned by liberal teachers to do what is thought to be right in their own eyes. Thus at a young age children are willingly disobedient to parents, senseless, heartless and approve of doing wrong, even when they know what is right. Now the grief of Lamentations is revealed by one man – Jeremiah, but it is the national condition of the young and the old whose back is to God. At the writing of Lamentations they are filled with grief and despair of heart as every man, woman and child face death and deportation, why? Because God hates them? Shame on you if you believe that, God loves the Jew and He love us too, He has revealed the Truth of His Love to all nations through His beloved Son – The LORD Jesus Christ. Romans 16:25-27, but individually and nationally we have rejected this TRUTH for liberal lies. In John 8:42-47 the LORD Jesus speaks to the Jew about this rejection, pointed words for them and for any nation who willingly adopts the highway of lies as a future road to prosperity without God through humanism.

Challenge: Lamentations 3
I believe that there is a growing number of persons who are experiencing the pain of suffering for this nation as they watch our Nation adopt change after change. The Laws of life, liberty and happiness are replaced with legalized laws of death to the unwanted young and old. Laws of liberty and justice for all are considered obsolete to leaders who are bent to abolish right and wrong by replacing justice and liberty with the suppression of God’s Holy Word.

Now we have said all of this before and I am reminded of the apostle Paul who was warned by the Holy Spirit that by returning to Jerusalem that he would suffer at the hands of the enemies of God for his testimony of the gospel of the grace of God, Acts 20:21-24. I am increasingly aware that the enemies of God have surrounded our nation, our individual states, townships and small communities. In this I see that if I am wrong that I am simply a crazed alarmist.

One beaten down with age, full of old age nonsense, walled in with a contemptible spirit, even weighed down with sin. This can be true, I am not a prophet and the last time I checked… I am a sinner, yet too the last time I checked I am saved, redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb, and again the last time I checked I have the Holy Spirit living in my soul which is the Temple of God in everyone who personally believes that Jesus Christ the Son of God physically died for the SIN of the world and rose again from that death to provide LIFE (Eternal Life) to everyone who personally believes in Him for justification and salvation, Romans 10:8-13.

In the middle of Lamentations 3, Jeremiah helps us to understand the message of sacrifice and salvation, notice. He says: “Therefore I call to mind, therefore I have hope. Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions do not fail. They are new every morning; Great is God’s faithfulness, The LORD is my portion, therefore I hope in Him”. Lamentations 3:21-24. So I say… what can mankind do to me that has not already been done to others?

And please do not think that I have a martyr’s complex, I enjoy the land of the living, but I am heavily pressed down over the crumbling condition of our national state of the UNION. So I will challenge each of us to “search out what I am seeking to say, let each of us examine our national and personal way and then, let us turn back to the LORD. Let us lift up our hearts and hands (what good is it if we lift up our hands and our heart is in darkness still) there is no pardon from God in that” Lamentations 3:40-42.
