The Devotional – Excerpts from the Gospel of John

Comment: The like-minded warnings from some pulpits across this land are vital to the surviving church of the future in the United States of America. We remnant, the Children of God ought not be fearful, downcast or intimidated by the secular views and mandates on the horizon. My intention in reviewing the Gospel of John is to challenge all of us to be involved in the Eternal Word of God. All through the seven thousand years of known history, God has perfectly preserved His Word and His children whom walk by faith in the Living Word (Jesus Christ).

Devotional: The “Beginning” began with the WORD of God and Jesus/Messiah is very clear in Matthew 5:19. “For assuredly (truly), I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law until all is fulfilled. If you are not familiar with the word “JOT” it is the smallest letter in the Hebrew alphabet and the “TITTLE” is the smallest stroke of the writer’s words. Here is a question for you! Who is the Writer of the Holy Bible? The answer, should you be void of it, is God the Father. Notice 1 Thessalonians 1:4-6.

I might add here that if you have not received the Living Word (Jesus/Messiah) by the “gospel” and “power of the Holy Spirit” which is the purpose of election and foreknowledge of God, then as simply as I can say it; “you are dead in your trespasses and sins. It is God’s Eternal purpose that none should perish in trespass and sin, but as noted in our devotions this morning in Psalm 119:109a – “My life is continually in my hand” (personal choice) Psalm 119:109b – “yet, I do not forget Thy law” (again personal choice). Election is a “statute of God” like His Eternal Word it cannot be changed by the whim, diction or promise of man.

All of God’s Will for mankind is found in the Words penned in Genesis 1:26, God has elected that He would make man in His Image. He made them male and female. He blessed them and caused them to be fruitful, to multiply and fill the earth. He gave them dominion and power over all that He created on the earth. This for me explains “election”. Man has complicated and distorted the Eternal Word of God; in other words, man has trespassed the boundaries of Genesis 1:1-31, John 1:1-4 and 1 John 1:1. Why?

Everything of a deceptive beginning, began with Satan’s desire to dethrone God by changing the Eternal Word of God. The perfect LIE of deception… Genesis 3:5 – For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. Wait a moment, give yourself time to think about Satan’s statement! What did God foreordain in Genesis 1:27, that humankind before the sin of trespass are made in the image of God (pure light as with God’s understanding includes good and evil). The deception of Satan as with all of those who distort TRUTH is that all that is needed for me to be God (less His Image) is for me to believe that the Eternal Word and TRUTH are changeable (Bah Humbug), see Genesis 3:6; 1 John 2:15-17 and James 4:4.

After the fall, mankind was made in the likeness of God (minus His image, LIGHT), however as further explained in Genesis 5:2-3, God created them male and female, He blessed them and called them Mankind. Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and had a son he named Seth who is in the image and likeness of Adam. Interestingly “Seth” means “substituted”.
