A Daily Devotional – Judgment – The Eternal Word (20)

A Daily Devotional – Judgment – The Eternal Word

Comment: I am reminded continually that my ability to write suffers greatly, yet this does not prevent me from writing. I enjoy the time spent to share a thought or two regarding our Awesome and Great God with folks who are like minded and even those who are not. Having traveled a bit after serving in the military, I have noticed a thing or two about people of different nationalities which is common to all of us. Of the things that stand out, the one that is most common is that the inner heart desires to love, to live life and pursue happiness. These are NOT man-made traits, these are given to mankind as attributes of human life, by our Creator – Romans 13:8-10.

Devotional: As we are all aware, our ability to love, live and pursue happiness is marred. It was subjected to the wrath of God when Adam and Eve sinned against God in the Garden of Eden, see Genesis 3:1-24. Well you might say “I had nothing to do with that, so why am I being punished?” You specifically are not singled out and punished, it is a judgment or curse placed on all of mankind by our Creator. Why? Because; had we been Adam or Eve, we would have reacted to the temptations of Satan the same way they did.

Even though we are created in the image and likeness of God, who is LOVE, who is LIFE and who maintains HAPPINESS; Genesis 1:26. We now have another nature made in the likeness and image of Adam. See Genesis 5:1-3. Our first image and likeness, like that of God desires love, life and happiness apart from the judgment. Our second image and likeness, like that of Adam desires love, life and happiness, but it is under the judgment or curse because Adam’s image and likeness is of the temporal life of flesh which is selfish, natural and devilish.

The Authority to save us from God's Judgment or curse is found only in Jesus Christ the Messiah, You and I will not find true love, life and happiness apart from a personal, and responsible faith in the Authority of God’s Son. Matthew 28:16-20, John 3:11-21, John 14:1-11; also read Romans 3:1-31.
