A Daily Devotional – The Power of God – The Eternal Word
Comment: God, the Creator of the
heavens and the earth! Say that with me again. “GOD THE CREATOR OF THE HEAVENS
AND THE EARTH!” and you can add this. “He is a very present help in times of need.”
If needed, God will remove the stranger from our midst, or He will remove us
from the stranger. He can and does change the direction of water, in an
earthquake He causes mountains to shake and hills to bounce. In His immediate
presents the earth trembles and if there is any need for water, God alone turns
a rock into a pool of water and a flint rock into a fountain of water. Like
Israel, we as a nation we have forgotten that God is REAL and that He is
MAJESTIC in POWER and GLORY!
Devotional: The
burden of evidence of the above statement is not on God to prove Himself. He already has. The burden is on His
created peoples to believe Him; by FAITH. Notice Psalm 114.
1 When Israel went out of Egypt, The house of Jacob from a
people of strange language,
2 Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel His dominion.
3 The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back.
4 The mountains skipped like rams, The little hills like
lambs.
5 What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you
turned back?
6 O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills,
like lambs?
7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the
presence of the God of Jacob,
8 Who turned the rock into a pool of water, The flint into
a fountain of waters.
You can find God’s Power everywhere, you only need to look
with faith. The history of God’s existence is seen every day as Creation
declares it. The Holy Bible declares His Power as LOVE. This love is not
understood by the fallen world of mankind and as one song writer explains; “The
LOVE of God is measureless and strong, it is the REDEEMING GRACE for Adam’s
race.”
“God is Love” His Power is revealed to us through His
Love. We cannot KNOW God in any other way; notice! 1 John 4:7-11.
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God;
and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that
God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through
Him.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He
loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one
another.
May your days be blessed with the LOVE of God, through
Jesus Christ who is the propitiation for our sins.
