A Daily Devotional – Ephesians – Personal Meditation (9)

A Daily Devotional – Ephesians – Personal Meditation
Comment: Have you ever gone swimming? I guess the question is rhetorical in that anyone over the age of 2 has had opportunity to get into a pool of water. For us older folks, I have another question! When you were swimming the last time, how many people in the pool with you were “wet”? The correct answer is “all of them” and it would be impossible to deny. Another unique thing about being in the pool with others, is some are wetter than others. Religiously some will not allow their hair to get wet, while others will be fully immersed at times. Some will walk around in shallow water while others will swim in the deep. Some people float better than others, while others sink. The bottom line; everyone in the pool is WET.

Devotional: Ephesians 3:8-20 – The mystery of the church dispensation, is not a mystery to the church; we who are the church understand that the gentiles would be fellow heirs with the Jews; we are of the same body, we are partakers of this truth and through the gospel we are; in Christ. The mystery then is to those who have not yet believed the gospel. Both Jews and gentiles alike, who follow the religions of the world have not yet tasted the manifold wisdom of God.

This wisdom is “knee buckling” to the world, but to the children of God, we should never lose heart, as we always have confidence this through ‘faith in Christ’. No matter what the world is capable of throwing at us, we are able to see that the Father of our LORD Jesus Christ/Messiah has granted (revealed) to those of us who are “the called out church” are called out because of the manifold wisdom of God, this strengthens the inner man so that we are being rooted and grounded in love.

That Christ may dwell in our heart through faith, in order that we may be immersed with all the saints and know the width and length and depth and the height of  the love of God. People who subscribe to religion do not know, understand or comprehend this fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church be Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen!
