The Devotional - 1514 - The Victory of the WORD

The Devotional – 1514 – The Victory of the WORD
Psalm 119:97-104 Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your word. I have not departed from Your judgments, for You Yourself have taught me. How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.

Comments and Challenges: MEM
1.       How I love Your LAW, it is my meditation all day.
2.       Your COMMANDMENTS make me wiser than my enemies, for your COMMANDMENTS are always with me.
3.       I have more understanding than my teachers, for Your TESTIMONIES are my meditation.
4.       I have more understanding than the aged, because I have kept Your PRECEPTS.
5.       I have kept my feet from every evil way, that I might observe Your WORD.
6.       I have not turned aside from Your ORDINANCES, for You have taught me.
7.       How sweet are Your PROMISES to my taste, more than honey to my mouth!
8.       Through Your PRECEPTS I get understanding, therefore I hate every false way.

I do not think there is a day gone by that someone thought they were wiser than the people around them. If you look into the Perfect LAW of liberty as your guide and meditation you will notice at least two things about the “wisenheimer” (1) his or her observation of self is not what they saw in the morning mirror, and (2) his or her religious activities are useless. James 1:21-27. So meditation on the LAW of God is not optional it is optimal.

The LORD God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34) He does not show partiality. If we study the TESTIMONIES and PRECEPTS of the LORD God as we ought, we will gain understanding, an understanding that surpasses at times the PEACE of someone in our past, even a teacher; Philippians 4:6-7 and Proverbs 27:17. Also, it is important that we do not think we are better than another, those that are aged, may suffer with processes of thought, thus in keeping the LORD’s PRECEPTS as we ought we will be able to assist them in their aging process; Ecclesiastes 12:1-14.

How important it is to kept your feet in perfect working order. Along with the feet, do not forget your eyes, ears, arms and your mouth. Do not use these accessories of your body for evil, instead; OBSERVE the WORD of the Living God. This is what King Solomon had in mind with these words. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way of death. Proverbs 16:24-25 and Proverbs 14:12 and do not turn aside from the ORDINANCES that God has taught you.

PROMISES are good are they not! If you have experienced the fulfillment of a PROMISE, the taste of that experience is so SWEET you can still taste it, even if it was something that happened YEARS ago. All of the PRECEPTS of God are PROMISES, promises that are FULFILLED all we have to do is believe God’s PRECEPTS by FAITH and we gain the sweet understanding of living life in the SWEETNESS of God’s grace. Want to have a goose bump or two? Read Proverbs 8:1-36 Wisdom is excellent, but even WISDOM is subject to the LORD God. How about it… are YOU?
