The Devotional – Faith; when trouble arises it Triumphs (Part 2)

The Devotional – Faith; when trouble arises it Triumphs (Part 2)

Comment: Yesterday we got through verse 6, but I would like to go back and take another look at this sixth verse, which is the writers thoughts of Psalm 27:1 and Psalm 118:6. As said yesterday the Word of the Living God is UNCHANGABLE, thus we can have boldness to proclaim it. The Psalm writers, the Prophets and the New Testament writers did not stumble proclaiming the unchangeable attributes of God. Even Jesus who is God stated clearly that the Law, which is the totality of God’s Living Word is fulfilled in Him. Matthew 5:18 “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and the earth pass away, one jot (smallest letter) or one tittle (smallest stroke) will by no means pass from the Law until all is fulfilled.” In this I say “shame on the church leaders of today who are swayed by sin in the congregation to think and believe that the Word of the Living God is flexible to include lies and doctrines of demons.

Devotional: Hebrews 13:7-8 – We are to follow leadership, solid biblical men who have spoken the Word of God to us. These men are to be followed because they are men of faith, meaning that these men are not promotional or promise keepers, and I say it again “they are men of faith”. These leaders do not “rule over the congregation” as some texts (KJV and NKJV) read, yet we are to consider the outworking of Christ in their lives and follow the results of their faith.

We see this clearly in verse 8 which is often taken out of context, if a leader is “Christ like” then and only then can we see that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. We are to be occupied with Christ and established by GRACE. We are not to be occupied with programs, promises or things that do not profit the Church of Jesus Christ in our local communities. Christ DOES NOT FAIL, failure comes to those who return to a sacrificial system of works.

What than is the right sacrificial system, JESUS, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, He suffered outside the gate. Let us therefore, through HIM offer the sacrifice of praise to GOD, that is, the FRUIT of our lips, CONFESSING THANKS to HIS NAME. “His Name is WONDERFUL, COUNSELLOR, MIGHTY GOD, PRINCE OF PEACE, HIS NAME IS JESUS. And do not forget that we are called of God to DO GOOD and with such sacrifice God is well pleased.

Obey those leaders who lead us in CHRIST and be submissive because these leaders are concerned for your SOULS as they must give an account to CHRIST on your behalf. Let them do this with JOY and not GRIEF, for that would be unprofitable for you.
