The Devotional - Green Beans or Peas?

Comment: First let me say that this is not a “plug” for “name brand” products, since all green beans or peas do not care which label is on the can containing them. One pea or bean cannot argue that it was picked, packed or pickled any better than the other. However this does not apply when it comes to the variety of “religions” found in the United States of America. There is only ONE God, ONE faith and ONE baptism, there is only ONE God and Father of us ALL – Ephesians 4:5-6. Now understand, there are many gods and many people make offerings and sacrifices to these idols, but we know and understand as children of the ONE God that these idols are nothing, but these are a major distraction in the world that seeks to deceive and destroy many and seeks to make void the TRUTH by various religious and idolatrous rituals of worship. Meaningless regulations of does and don’ts, thus we need to be careful and be ready to give answers to those who are spiritually weak or in spiritual darkness – 1 Corinthians 8:1-13.

Devotional: There is only ONE way to present TRUTH and that is by KNOWING the Living Word of God, this becomes a problem if we fail to understand that JESUS CHIRST is the Living Word. Many in our nation today do not KNOW that Jesus is alive, thus they do not KNOW that He is God; the Truth. The apostle John recorded for us the Words of Jesus throughout his gospel and we find in John 14 this commanding statement of Jesus. “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

If the religion you are involved in does not preach, teach and exhort this TRUTH, than your religion is false, it is idolatrous and it is the way to the abyss. There are many ways to live with Satan for eternity, let me take you to his final abode. Revelation 20:7-10, verse 10 reads – The devil (Satan), who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet (world religions) are. And they will be TORMENTED day and night forever and ever.

In Hebrews 9:27 we read – And it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. For those who follow the false prophet, (Satan’s religious leader) this judgment is recorded for us in Revelation 20:11-15, starting in verse 11 and ending with these words in verse 15 – And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

When the LORD Jesus made the statement we looked at in John 14:6, he had previously made a statement to His disciples that He would be going away when He laid down His life for the sin of the world, see John 13:36-38. Then He also said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father’s house there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” – John 14:1-3.

Tomorrow if it comes, we will look at the thirteen statements of the writer of Hebrews who reveals to us that Jesus Christ the Son of God is better (far superior) than any false religion.
