The Devotional - Truth verses wisdom

The Devotional
Comment: Wisdom and knowledge! Is it the greatest tool of the world around us? Or is it simply a mixture of human good and evil? I think these questions are worthy of thought! First let me say that there are only three identifiable intellects for humans to advance in. There are no known intellects among animals, even though they may have a thought process and the ability to communicate, their understanding is basic and is operational only by instinct. Thus intellect (wisdom and knowledge) is confined to mankind and to angels, while Truth (God’s Wisdom and Knowledge) is maintained and settled by God forever. God does not change and neither does His Truth, Psalm 119:160 – The entirety of Your Word is Truth, and every one of Your Righteous Judgments endures forever.

Devotional: Once again I have programed the blog to reveal the Bible verse simply by placing the curser over the verse, so this should help both you the reader and myself to search out scripture and context. Now you will need to do some homework on this yourself, but I do know that if you follow after God’s Wisdom, He will produce a joy in you that is never reached by any secular wisdom or by the so called religious spiritualists that float in and out of our lives from time to time. Notice what the apostle Paul has to say in regard to this subject – 1 Corinthians 2:1-16.

The apostle Paul, like Moses were men who were not excellent speakers (Exodus 4:10) and (1 Corinthians 2:1-4), but like the Exodus 4 context and the context of 1 Corinthians 2, God reveals to us that Truth does not need the intellect of the world to develop Faith. Thus it is by FAITH that the message of Christ and Him crucified is preached and believed. Faith transcends, or goes beyond human reasoning and the supernatural power of angelic wisdom. Thus as children of the Living God we are to go beyond worldly wisdom and believe God by faith, see 1 Corinthians 3:18-23.

So believers in Jesus Christ who are students of God’s Word speak to one another (the mature) a wisdom that is not of the world (this age). The wisdom of the world is coming to nothing, (2 Peter 3:10-13) and our passage here in 1 Corinthians 1:6. God has prepared His Truth for those who have faith in Him. Those who chase the rainbow (the immoral) and those who run after the wisdom of the world (the atheist) and those who speak lies (the false prophet) will come to nothing. Those who do not understand will not and cannot compare or understand the teaching of the Holy Spirit with their natural mind.
