A Daily Devotional – Romans 1:16 – Personal Meditation (1)

A Daily Devotional – Romans 1:16 – Personal Meditation

Comment: To say that Christ’s church in the United States lacks power today should not be a shock to many if not all saints of God who understand that they are saints. Not because of who they are and not because of what they aspire to be. The children of God are saints because they have ‘faith’ in the ONE who died and rose again on the cross at Calvary. There are numerous children of God, they are saints and they have the potential to be full of the power of God, but they are misguided by those who may be saints themselves, but do not understand that power which the seek to control with theologies that do not teach the whole counsel of God; Romans 1:16, Romans 15:16 and 2 Corinthians 12:9 will be the platform for the next series of devotionals.

Devotional: There is no perfect church this side of eternity, yes, we like our church, our church family and a host of other gospel fed amenities. It should be irritating for many of us if someone talks or writes negative things regarding the church we attend. I am a guilty one, am I not? As I do say things about churches that (knowingly or unknowingly) lead the children of God, called saints by God Himself; astray.

In 1 Corinthians 1:2 we see that the church at Corinth had men and women who were “called to be saints”! Now wait, could we be thinking that there is another process of action which we must perform as believers to become saints. Absolutely absurd to think so! Yet if you seriously study the First Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians you will find at least sixty-four sins that the Corinthian believers were involved in while “attending church” thus it is no small thing to know that the operating church of today has not changed, but even have become worse. Yet these men and women are saints.

In recent devotionals, I have mentioned many of the ungodly obstacles that are standing in opposition to the children of God in church. I mean; what better place for Satan to work and destroy the children of God? Some of his best work is accomplished within the walls of a local church. So, is there at solution; absolutely, submit to God and resist the devil (1 Peter 5:1-11). Our churches today we are full of pride and only a few who are humble enough to receive God’s grace. This is not to say that "leadership" is entirely responsible, it is not; individually as saints, we are just as responsible. If the church you attend is humble then “Praise God”. More to come; why should God bless and protect the United States of America?
