A Daily Devotional – MESSIAH – The Eternal Word (47)

A Daily Devotional – MESSIAH – The Eternal Word

Comment: One thing about the New England weather is the word “change” the weather in this neck of the woods changes rapidly… Could be good, could be bad; but no doubt it is a personal choice or we may move. Not that moving would help; since, if we are of the complaining type I am sure we would find plenty to complain about somewhere else. The fact is that the world around us is full of weather. All of which is created and controlled by the Creator God, who is none other than Messiah/Jesus. Often, people give no connection to the thought that Messiah controls all of the world and everything contained in it, even you and me.

Devotional: When was the last time you looked intently at Proverbs chapter 8? I do not know all of the arguments over this section of Proverbs in detail, but I have heard of them. The main thrust of these are, ‘just who is Solomon the writer, of.

Remember; “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be compete thoroughly equipped for every good work. Some key of the thoughts for our devotional this morning are ‘inspiration and equipped’
.
Solomon is the instrument that the LORD God used to write the important information found in Proverbs 8, just as the apostle Paul is the instrument that God used to pen the words of 1 Timothy 3. This helps me to understand the words, ‘all scripture’! Also, we have a tour guide, His name is God the Holy Spirit, He alone will and “now get this” does not speak of His own. He takes that information about Messiah/Jesus and explains this to us; see John 6:13-15.

The communicator of Proverbs Eight is the Wisdom and Understanding of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (God in all of His capacity) This wonderful section of Proverbs allows you and me the opportunity through the words of Solomon to see that everything Created by God, was ‘for GOD’. Yet because of the Love of God, He willingly shares much of what belongs to Him with YOU and ME. Wow! What an Awesome God we serve.

In ‘first person’ conversation Wisdom and Understanding speak directly to us, (1) does not wisdom cry out and understanding lift her voice? (8) All the words of my mouth are with Righteousness. (12) “I” wisdom, dwell with prudence…” (17) I love those who love me. Verse after verse, wisdom and understanding under the guidance of Elohim, reveals to us that; without God, even wisdom and understanding would have not residing place in God’s Creation. Notice Proverbs 8:22-30.
