A Daily Devotional – Personal Faith – Personal Meditation (6)

A Daily Devotional – Personal Faith – Personal Meditation

Comment: Looking at the information available to the world via the World Wide Web, I see that too much information can be confusing and dangerous. For example; something as simple as a recipe for Southern fried chicken could lead you south of somewhere else! Like the South Island of New Zealand has a recipe for fried chicken that differs from the one, south of the Mason-Dixon line here in the U.S. of A. And; if we were to look up references to biblical time, on the Web; like the time that Jesus visited Samaria and meeting the woman at Jacob’s well around the sixth hour, we would find several confusing answers. Noon time is selected by most and is used in the verse six reference section of the New International Version (NIV).

Devotional: The event at the Well of Jacob is one encounter with the LORD Jesus that many of us would like to have witnessed firsthand. But wait a minute! If you believe in Christ, are you not a witness? Yes, yes you are a witness and can you not say as the woman said to the men of the town of Sychar. “Come and see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Messiah/Christ?”

Our lives differ, the events of our life are not the same as others, but when we encounter The Christ and He reveals to you and me all that we ever did, the conviction and conversion is as powerful as that moment when the Samaritan woman left her water pot and ran to the town to explain her personal faith in Jesus. The harvest of souls is not visible to those who have not trusted in Jesus, thus ‘religion’ a system of the world will never be used by God to save anyone.

Only Jesus saves, He saves because He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Notice! John 4:39-42 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, "He told me all that I ever did." So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. And many more believed because of His own word. Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world."

Important: “Now we believe, not because of what you said” Souls believe by the Word of God and the convicting work of God the Holy Spirit, our Personal faith reveals Jesus to the those of the harvest and God does the rest.
